All parties willing to take final step in Vienna

The Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney said all parties in Vienna Talks are willing to take the final step, and efforts are being made to achieve maximum confidence in the agreement.

Hawzah News Agency – Coveney made the remarks in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

He stressed the issue of economic guarantees for Iran, saying : "As a facilitator of Resolution 2231, we have redoubled our efforts and Ireland, in turn, can play its reassuring role."
Regarding the recent Security Council resolution on Yemen, he said: "Ireland did not support this resolution and is looking for dialogue in Yemen, and we believe that the United Nations in countries where we are witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe should help the dialogue process to resolve the crisis."

Meanwhile, Amir Abdollahian referred to the Irish Foreign Minister's visit to Tehran last month, as well as the meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, and expressed hope that Iran-Ireland cooperation would increase effectively and that economic and trade relations would expand further by preparing a roadmap.

War is not the solution to the Ukraine crisis and no other crisis. Of course, the roots of the crisis and NATO's efforts to spread militarism in the region should not be undermined.

He pointed to the 20-year presence of the United States and NATO in Afghanistan emphasizing that the war in Yemen must end with a political solution to the crisis.

The recent Security Council resolution on Yemen ignores the facts of the country and will not help resolve the Yemeni war, he stated.
